Introducing My Latest Book– Sherlock Poems!
Big news! MX Publishing is publishing another one of my books– Sherlock Poems: The Complete Adventures of Sherlock Holmes in Verse! The scheduled release date is June 30th!
The book’s blurb is as follows:
All the Sherlock Holmes mysteries like you’ve never seen them before!
A new spin on all four Sherlock Holmes novels, fifty-six short stories, and the apocryphal tales. Fans of Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes will be familiar with the twist: take a classic story and retell it in rhyme with plenty of humour. Enjoy the adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson, reimagined as verse.
Here’s the opening to the poem version of A Study in Scarlet:
Doctor John Watson is a man
Just returned from Afghanistan.
A small pension, so he won’t beg
And he’s been wounded in the leg.
His wallet leaking like a sieve
He needs a nice cheap place to live.
John meets his old buddy Stamford.
“Know an affordable landlord?”
Stamford says, “I know someone great–
Though maybe not the best roommate.
He knows rooms out of his price range
He’s Sherlock Holmes– He’s smart, but strange.”
