My Play Our Mothers Are Not Refrigerators is Getting an Abridged Staged Reading!
I am incredibly grateful to Pink Umbrella Theater Company! They are a Milwaukee drama company that are trying to produce plays about disabilities, and they are putting on a staged reading of an abridged version of my play OUR MOTHERS ARE NOT REFRIGERATORS this weekend!
Follow a support group meeting for people with autism, and learn about the theory of the “refrigerator mother” misdiagnosis cause of autism. Immerse yourself in the stories of the group participants, the injustice of the theory and its consequences, and how the characters will move forward in the world outside the group.
